
JOHN D. HARRINGTON
EO Oklahoma member since 2013, Global Board Director
John D. Harrington is the CEO of Funds For Learning, a leader in K-12 educational technology dedicated to bridging the digital divide through innovative technology solutions. Under his leadership, the company supports 5.2 million K-12 students at more than 12,000 schools and library sites across the United States, securing billions in funding for youth internet access.
In 2016, John received the CoSN Hurley Private Sector Champion Award, one of the highest accolades in K-12 education technology. During the COVID-19 pandemic, John successfully led a $7.5B USD federal aid proposal to address the digital divide and enable millions of students to continue their education online.
An EO member through its Oklahoma City Chapter since 2013, John has served in a range of significant leadership roles, including as Chair of EO’s Global Growth Portfolio for FY2023/2024 and 2024/2025. In this capacity, he has helped shape key initiatives such as the organization’s ‘Growthcast.’ He has also overseen the organization’s Leadership and Training Portfolios and is a past member of various global standing committees, crediting EO for fostering his bold thinking and collaboration. In December 2024, he was elected and ratified by the full membership to serve a four-year term on EO’s Global Board of Directors, beginning July 2025.
Outside of business, John is the Chair of the Board for Great Expectations, a U.S. nonprofit dedicated to preparing teachers and principals to better support education. Born in Mason City, Iowa, he now divides his time between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife Kristi, their three adult children, and his grandchild.
