5 Things I Learned from Creating an AI Nano Learning Series for Entrepreneurs

Developing an AI Nano Learning series to benefit busy entrepreneurs challenged me to simplify complex concepts while mastering video production. Through collaboration, feedback, and continuous refinement, I not only created the series successfully but also discovered new skills and the power of stepping outside my comfort zone.

When EO said yes to my proposal to create the Apply AI to Your Business Nano Learning video series, I was excited—but also a bit daunted.
Introduced in 2021, EO’s Nano Learning series offers concise, focused lessons created by EO members for EO members across a wide variety of topics that help you quickly learn and apply new insights. There are currently more than 100 Nano Learning series available for viewing at your own pace. Topics range from the practical to the inspirational and are truly crowd-sourced by EO entrepreneurs who take the time to produce, record, and post short video tutorials directly to the EO Learning Platform for the benefit of other members.
My goal was to create a series of short, bite-sized videos — under 5 minutes each — that EO members could watch to gain an understanding of how to apply AI tools to their businesses.
For me, teaching about AI was no problem. But condensing that knowledge into ultra-short, high-impact videos? That was new territory. It would require me to stretch my skill set, but I knew I would be better for trying, and that I might just succeed.
As I embarked on this process, here are five lessons I learned:
1. Always Push Beyond Your Comfort Zone
I’ve given keynotes, led masterclasses, and spoken in front of large audiences—but recording a structured, professional video series? That required a different kind of discipline. There’s no audience energy to feed off, no real-time engagement, just a camera, a microphone, and a mission: Make AI accessible, practical, and immediately valuable to my fellow EO entrepreneurs around the globe.
But I realized that if I could push my limits here, I might learn a new skill or two.
At first, it felt overwhelming. How do you distill a concept as vast as AI into bite-sized lessons without losing depth? How do you make it engaging without the luxury of long-form storytelling? And, how do you turn it into a professional video series worth watching?
2. Tap Into Your Network
As I always do when I get into something new, I reached out for recommendations on someone with the expertise to guide me through this project.
When I asked David Cortes Martin, he offered to help. I knew him for his impressive 2D/3D work with UK media including Sky News and Daily Mail, as well as for his many years of experience applying AI processes and tools to his craft. What I didn’t know? He also has a sharp eye for photography and a real talent for video production. And the fact that he speaks six languages didn’t hurt either.
From our first conversation, it was clear that David wasn’t just here to press “record.” He understands storytelling, and his deep expertise in AI tools and processes helped more than I initially thought. That combination didn’t just make the recordings smoother—it helped shape the entire series for every entrepreneur who would watch it.
3. Stay Open to Expert Feedback
His feedback was precise, insightful, and kind. One day, after stumbling through multiple takes of a single concept, I started to feel frustrated. David suggested a break, and while grabbing coffee, he said, “Luis, think of it like an AI model—test, learn, and improve.”
That was an aha! moment for me. Instead of chasing perfection in the first take, I started testing different ways to deliver the content—tweaking my intonation, pacing, and emphasis. I learned from how it felt—when my conviction and focus made the message land with clarity.
And then, with David’s feedback and advice, I kept improving until it resonated as I intended.
4. Fine Tune As You Go
With each recording session, we continued to fine-tune the content as well as the delivery. Pacing, visuals, transitions—every detail mattered. What started as a challenge became a collaborative process of iteration and innovation.
And then, the final moment: The series went live! Members of EO around the world could now access these lessons as part of their membership, apply AI to their businesses, and take action.
5. Acknowledge Growth – And Look for New Ways to Apply It
Looking back, the obstacles, the moments of doubt, the breakthrough insights—they were all part of the process. The right collaborators don’t just help you execute—they help you grow.
Creating this AI Nano Learning series for EO wasn’t just about sharing knowledge; it was about learning, evolving, and pushing beyond comfort zones.
What challenge are you hesitating to take on? Have you found the right person to help you navigate it?
