EO 360° Podcast: The Entrepreneur’s Path to Longevity

On the latest episode, Dr. Param Dedhia shares science-backed strategies entrepreneurs can use to sleep better, think clearer, and lead with more intention.

On the latest episode of the EO 360 podcast, host Dave Will (EO Boston) spent time with Dr. Param Dedhia, an integrative physician who blends internal medicine with sleep science, metabolism, emotional health, and mindfulness. Param helps patients build lives — and careers — on a foundation of strong health.
Param opened the episode by grounding the conversation in a truth many entrepreneurs overlook: sleep is not a luxury. It is the baseline for emotional stability, decision-making, and long-term health. As he put it, “When you give yourself sleep time, you are actually giving yourself the greatest ‘me time’ of all.”
Their conversation weaved through practical lessons regarding sleep, consistent habits, and mindfulness that entrepreneurs can apply to their daily lives:

Sleep Is a Your Most Formidable Tool
Param encourages founders to rethink their nighttime routines. Instead of treating the bedroom as a workspace, he insists on clear boundaries: “The bed is for sleep,” he says. “It is not for thinking. It is not for worrying. It is not for telling your partner that they are wrong and you are right.”
When anxious thoughts interrupt sleep, he recommends grounding the mind by engaging the body. As he explains, “If you spend too much time in your head, you have to get into your body.” This small shift, he says, can profoundly improve both sleep quality at night and emotional regulation during the day.
Your Daily Habits Shape Your Future Self
Rather than advocating for dramatic overhauls, Param emphasizes repetition. Small routines compound over time. He summarized his philosophy simply: “Whatever we repeat, we become.” Even imperfect consistency creates movement in the right direction. As he reminded Dave: “Something is always more than nothing.”
This mindset helps entrepreneurs build resilience without slipping into self-criticism.
Mindfulness Helps Leaders See Clearly
Emotional reactivity can derail leadership, especially under stress. Param teaches his patients to pause, breathe, and observe before acting. One tool he shares with clients is the concept of stepping off of a mental seesaw: “Get off the teeter totter and just see things as they are,” he says.
This ability to see reality without distortion enables better decisions and better relationships — both of which are essential for entrepreneurs.
“Whatever we repeat, we become.”

Param’s approach is grounded in science and humanity, particularly compassion for oneself and others. Success is not purely technical or tactical. It can be emotional. Leading well requires grounding, presence, and empathy — especially toward yourself. “It is the direction, not the perfection, that gives us help,” he says.
Param message for entrepreneurs is clear: your body, mind, and emotional life are not separate from your business. They are your business. With small habits, deliberate boundaries, and consistent care, any leader can build the health, life, and business they truly want.
