Entrepreneurial “thought leaders” convened in Geneva, Switzerland, this week with some of the world’s most formidable business minds to inspire an international exchange between cultures and ideas. The Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s (EO) bi-annual Global University, which serves as an ideal setting for entrepreneurs to connect with members from around the world and experts from a variety of disciplines, is one way for EO members to learn, grow and experience first-hand what their peers are seeing in business as they continue to shape the world economy.

EO’s Global Chairman, Blair Assaly, kicked off the Global University with a keynote welcome address. Blair was able to set the tone for the 400 members in attendance. “At EO, we are bound by the belief that lives change when passion meets purpose. We have a unique culture. Through our growth, we have established a community. Through our shared vision, we have become a nation.”

One of the most highly anticipated sessions was an exclusive learning event at the United Nations General Assembly Hall. The three-day event was moderated by Adrian Seet, prime time anchor for Malaysia’s English news television, Channel 2. The distinguished business icons, who presented their personal and business-related stories to EO members, set the Global University apart from other invitation-only EO events. Keynote speakers ranged from Fathi Derder (Swiss Parliament) and Stephane Garelli (World Competitiveness Centre), to Claude Nicollier (European Space Agency), Dominique Wavre (Switzerland’s most prolific off-shore sailor), Bertrand Piccard (Founder of Solar Impulse) and Sébastian Loeb (World Rally Champion).

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is a global, peer-to-peer network of more than 10,000 influential business owners with 143 chapters in 46 countries. Founded in 1987, EO is the catalyst that enables leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow, leading to greater success in business and beyond.
