About EO Costa Rica
Costa Rica has long been known for its biodiversity and eco-tourism, but it is also a growing force in Latin American entrepreneurship. EO Costa Rica brings together founders building across sustainability, tourism, agtech, logistics, and digital services. Many are exporting ideas and services beyond borders, while others are scaling mission-driven ventures grounded in Costa Rican values. San José serves as a commercial and cultural hub, with increasing ties to the U.S. and Latin American markets. Costa Rica’s stable political environment, educated workforce, and commitment to renewable energy make it a strong base for both startups and long-standing companies. EO members leverage these advantages while tackling real-world challenges—from navigating global competition to evolving local industries. This chapter is unified by its balance of growth and purpose. Members believe entrepreneurship can serve both economy and ecology, both profit and progress. The conversations in EO Costa Rica are honest and future-focused, often touching on how to grow companies in ways that benefit employees, communities, and the environment. EO Costa Rica is a chapter of practical idealists. Founders here are not just scaling businesses—they are shaping a model of entrepreneurship that aligns with the country’s deeper values of sustainability, education, and wellbeing.
