About EO Philippines South

In the southern regions of the Philippines, entrepreneurship is personal, purposeful, and on the rise. At EO Philippines South, we are founders rooted in Mindanao, Visayas, and Southern Luzon—building businesses that reflect the strength of our communities and the vast potential of a region often underrepresented, but never underestimated. From the dynamic growth of Davao and Cebu to the thriving trade hubs of Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo, our members lead ventures across agriculture, logistics, retail, tourism, manufacturing, energy, real estate, and tech. Some are reimagining traditional industries with modern tools; others are launching innovative companies designed to scale from the South to the rest of the world. What unites us is a mindset shaped by resilience, local knowledge, and the belief that impact can start from anywhere. EO Philippines South is where real connection meets strategic growth. Our forums are safe spaces for honest reflection, helping entrepreneurs navigate the demands of scaling a business while staying aligned with their values. Our learning events are built around regional relevance and global thinking—whether it’s a strategy retreat near the coast or a speaker series hosted in the heart of the city. Running a business in the South takes vision and grit. Markets here are diverse, developing, and full of opportunity—but they also require deep cultural understanding and long-term commitment. EO Philippines South provides the peer support, structure, and inspiration to grow through every challenge. Many of our members are also deeply engaged in social innovation, sustainability, and education—ensuring that our success uplifts the communities we serve. We believe in business with a soul and growth that leaves a legacy. At EO Philippines South, we rise together—building from the ground up, leading from the heart, and proving every day that world-class entrepreneurship lives here.

2026 marks my 10th year in EO, and I find it difficult to separate my journey as an entrepreneur (and friend, husband, father) from my journey in this organization. Over the years, I've served our chapter as Chair for Membership, Learning, and Forum, then as the 4th President of EO Philippines South—which I helped found in 2019. EO has opened doors to extraordinary learning experiences, from executive programs at London Business School and Wharton to the Asia Bridge Forum, which I've been part of since 2019. These experiences have challenged my perspective on our business and how intentionally I live my life. Perhaps the greatest gift I've received from EO is friendship. Over the past decade, my wife and I have been blessed with cherished friendships across countries, cultures, industries, and stages of life. EO has been my place to learn, serve, grow, and belong. 10 years later, I continue to be blessed to receive as much as I hope to give back.

My EO leadership journey started during my interview. I was amazed by how the membership team asked questions, not just about my business, but about me as an entrepreneur. I later realized, as Membership Chair, that they were finding out if I fit EO’s core values. My next role was as a Forum Moderator. It was challenging. I was new, unsure how to be firm, and wanted everyone to be happy. I learned that leadership isn’t about pleasing everyone, but creating clarity and moving the group forward. Joining the Board was a defining moment. It was uncomfortable to take on responsibilities and report to someone, something I wasn’t used to in business. It taught me humility, accountability and communication. My greatest leadership journey was becoming Chapter President. I feared underperforming and being judged, yet it became one of my periods of growth. I trusted the system, training and my team. I learned to unlearn, empower, delegate and, most importantly, take care of my Board while having fun along the way. Joining EO and embracing leadership has been one of the best decisions of my life.

My EO journey began with a chance conversation on a flight with an EO member now serving on the Global Board. I knew little about the organization and couldn’t have imagined how that encounter would shape my life. In less than five years, EO became more than a professional community. It brought meaningful friendships, introduced me to peer-based leadership, and gave me the privilege of serving as President of EO Philippines South. EO taught me to listen before I solve and become more conscious of how I show up for people. These lessons strengthened relationships. Leading the chapter deepened my conviction that we grow through selfless service. I saw what becomes possible when people share a purpose and take ownership of their community. EO widened my perspective. Exchanging ideas with entrepreneurs worldwide taught me humility and showed me how greatness can take many forms. I joined EO hoping to become a better entrepreneur. I became a better human being. Today, I hope to pay it forward by helping my children grow as entrepreneurs and begin their own EO journeys.
