About EO Siliguri
Siliguri has always understood the value of being connected. Its location in North Bengal places the city near international borders and along important routes linking Northeast India with the rest of the country. Nearby infrastructure supports both domestic and international cargo movement, including the Siliguri Logistics Park at Dabgram and customs routes serving trade with Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. Around it sits another defining part of North Bengal’s economy: tea. Tea gardens remain a prominent feature of both Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts, while processing facilities and related industries form part of the broader commercial landscape surrounding Siliguri. EO Siliguri grows from that crossroads. The chapter serves entrepreneurs in a city where business is shaped by what moves through it: products, people, ideas, and opportunities. Geography gives Siliguri reach that extends far beyond its municipal boundaries. For business owners, that can mean thinking simultaneously about local demand and wider regional markets. It can mean navigating industries connected to transportation, processing, tourism, trade, or the businesses that support them. EO adds another kind of connection. Inside the chapter, entrepreneurs have a place to exchange experiences without needing to operate in the same industry. Through the broader organization, those relationships extend across India and around the world. That combination feels particularly at home in Siliguri. This is not a city whose importance comes from being isolated. Its significance comes from what it connects. EO Siliguri carries that idea into entrepreneurship. It creates a local community where business owners can slow down long enough to listen, compare perspectives, and reconsider what comes next. In a city built around movement, EO Siliguri offers something slightly different: a place to stop, think, and then move forward with greater clarity.
