Eleftherios-Lampros Arapakis

Eleftherios started Enaleia to meet a demand for professional fishermen in Greece and to increase job opportunities for graduates. As the first academy of its kind in Greece, Enaleia aims to educate and empower unemployed youth in the fishing trade. Eleftherios’ biggest obstacle was creating Enaleia as a pioneer business in an industry such as fishing that has been undervalued by the Greece community and convincing people about the value and positive impact. His three-year vision is to reduce youth unemployment in Greece by educating 200 people to become the next generation of Greek fishermen. He believes that education is an important element to achieve this:

“My personal vision, is to grow and make other people grow with me. In order to achieve that, I am thirsty to learn about the things I do not know yet, and teach more people.”
