Elias wants to improve the education sector in Tanzania and Africa at large. He is on a mission to accomplish this through tanzDevs, an interactive smart learning system that delivers quality content to accelerate contextual understanding. As an entrepreneur, his keys to success are to be passionate, innovative, and team-spirited. The biggest challenge he has encountered was sharing his business idea without a working prototype because of its uniqueness in Tanzania’s education system. Elias considers himself an awesome entrepreneur because of his ability to be self-motivated and proactive about instituting change in his community: “I perceive problems in our society as opportunities. In education, I like to provide ways for the learner to understand context and focus on how he or she can use that knowledge to solve social problems instead of using it only to pass exams”.
