My name is Enzo Romero. Being born without my right hand has allowed me to orient my life decisions in order to develop a robotic prosthetic hand for myself. This led me to study Mechatronics Engineering. Now, I am a Research Assistant at the Biomechanics & Applied Robotics Lab at Pontifical Catholic University in Peru. Also, I am the co-founder of “Giving a Hand”, the very first student spin-off company in Peru. Here we develop low-cost personalized hand prostheses to people of low-income. Our vision is to meet the need and improve access to prosthesis in LatinAmerica.
