Jorge Racedo is the founder and team leader to microscopIA. microscopIA is a Colombian startup that design biomedical solutions for low-income and rural communities. Currently, microscopIA is working in the development of an automated microscope associated with artificial intelligence to tackle the misdiagnosis of tropical diseases. Jorge is planning to conclude the diagnostic trials with human subjects in 5 years and present the results to PAHO/WHO to validate microscopIA's technology. microscopIA is intended to expand its technology to Africa, Asia, and Latin America where tropical diseases are public health and government priorities.
