Jose Ignacio Barrientos Zamora

Back in 2014, Ignacio started in the packing industry, in 2018 relaunched BambuPallet as the first company world wide making pallets out of bamboo instead of wood. His goal is to stop at least 3 million hectares of deforestation and erosion in the pallet industry, at the same time compensate climate change by maximizing Co2 fixation and increase water conservancy by hectare of bamboo harvested. He believes in triple bottom line companies generating value and impact in the economic, social and the environment. Ignacio’s vision is to scale up his model trough the tropical zone of the planet.
