Marie Martin

Marie is the founder of Martin’s Safey Equipment, an agricultural manufacturing company that aims to produce innovative products that promote health and safety throughout the agricultural sector. As a young female in a male dominated industry, she found it difficult to be taken seriously as a business person: “My knowledge and capability was continually being questioned, be it by peers, investors, customer etc. But since launching the Safe Scrub Sprayer to commercial success we, as a company, have grown from strength to strength.” As a student representative for in her university, she promotes and lobbies entrepreneurship throughout campus. She also hopes to lobby for and support young entrepreneurs, especially female entrepreneurs. She was awarded a Quercus Innovation and Entrepreneurial Scholarship at her school, which has enabled to balance her passion for entrepreneurship with her academic studies.
