Naomy was moved to join efforts at TerraNova Urbana LLC (TerraNova) to help address unsustainable importation rates in the Puerto Rican community. In TerraNova she works to increase food sovereignty by distributing locally-sourced produce and supporting many local farmers and chefs associated to TerraNova. Naomy re-envisions TerraNova into an agrosilvopastoral farm system, where agriculture, forestry and animal livelihoods converge in a holistic and cyclical framework. Naomy hopes this project will serve as a model to increment local and global small-scale farming success, particularly in countries with considerable import dependency.
