Entrepreneurs’ Organization Welcomes New Global Chair
Cincinnati, U.S. entrepreneur Lynn Anstett becomes Global Chair of membership network serving 18,000+ entrepreneurs worldwide
Alexandria, Virginia, USA (1 July 2023) – The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), is proud to introduce American business founder Lynn Anstett as its Global Chair for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, after 11 years of active membership and service to the global nonprofit network.
A member of EO Cincinnati since 2012, Anstett has served in various chapter, regional, and global leadership positions across the organization and ascended to the Global Board of Directors in 2021. This past year she served as the organization’s Chair-Elect alongside outgoing Chair, Marc Stöckli (EO Zurich).
Anstett is the sixth woman to serve as Global Chair in EO’s 36-year history, which includes its initial years when it was called YEO (Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization). Her elevation is one of many steps forward for the international network’s efforts to build a more inclusive and diverse community of small-to-midsize entrepreneurs around the world. With 18,000+ members in 220 chapters and 76 countries, EO’s purpose is to move the world forward by unlocking the full potential of entrepreneurs, in whatever ways and with whatever talents each business owner feels motivated to contribute.
As Global Chair, Anstett brings knowledge on effective business ownership built from successfully founding and growing her own transport logistics firm, Stett Transportation, Inc, which is a sector leader in North America today. Her expertise includes scaling a business, creating a healthy culture, sales and operational processes with accountability, and social entrepreneurship.
“EO has given me many gifts during the past 11 years and it is my honor to serve my fellow members as Global Chair. I am excited to work alongside our Global Board, our Executive Team, our staff, chapter and regional leaders to continue elevating EO.” Said Anstett.
“As we navigate a post-pandemic economy the world needs the leadership and creativity of entrepreneurs more than ever. I am confident that this will be a year of growth not only for EO as an organization, but for our members who take full advantage of our diverse and increasing opportunities for learning and connection.”
Anstett joined EO Cincinnati in 2012 and quickly volunteered to serve in leadership roles to support the organization and her peers, serving as her chapter’s membership chair, strategic alliances chair and eventually chapter president in 2017-18. She soon moved into regional leadership positions for the network, aligning and growing multi-state initiatives that set accountability frameworks and achieved many levels of success that continue for EO’s Central U.S. region today. In the spirit of EO’s core value, “Together We Grow,” Anstett supports others’ growth and well-being by coaching fellow entrepreneurs on effective business ownership and inspiring the next generation of founders to give back.
“Lynn is a veteran entrepreneur, who built her transport business from the ground up. Her principled decision-making and penchant to simplify will help her to continue leading EO to new heights as this coming fiscal year’s Global Chair,” said outgoing EO Chair Marc Stöckli.
Anstett’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1995, with the launch of her transport logistics business, Stett Transportation Inc. Founding it from the basement of her home while raising three young children, Anstett quickly learned how to parlay her success into opportunities for others. Today, her company offers cost-effective solutions to handle chemical freight safely and efficiently throughout North America, while donating dollars for every load moved to the local nonprofit she also created —Stett4Kids— which gives underprivileged youth in greater Cincinnati the chance to succeed. Stett Transportation has been named an Inc. 5000 company multiple times. It is recognized as one of the nation’s finest in logistics management, earning recognition as one of the largest woman-owned logistics firms to be certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
“I have enjoyed getting to know Lynn this past year and I am excited to continue our partnership during her year as EO’s Global Chair,” said Deborah Rainey, EO Interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer. “Through both her business and her non-profit, Lynn exemplifies how entrepreneurs can move the world forward starting in their own communities. She is highly attuned to the concerns of EO members and we share a vision for creating exceptional member experiences.”
Anstett’s term as Global Chair spans the FY2023-2024 fiscal year, running from July 2023 to June 2024. She and the EO Global Board will continue work to simplify and streamline EO’s processes and core product offerings, while empowering chapter and regional leaders to make decisions for their own cultures and economies. They will also oversee a long-term strategy for EO’s targeted growth and chapter launches.
In addition to Anstett’s elevation to Chair, the EO Board also welcomes three newly elected Directors: Joaquín Cordero (EO Guatemala), Rom LaPointe (EO Detroit) and David Loaney (EO Arizona).
