Alexandria, Virginia, USA/Ghent, Belgium (19 July 2025) — The Entrepreneurs’ Organization announces the election and confirmation of Taunya Renson-Martin (EO Belgium) as its Global Chair-Elect for FY2025/2026, a position that will precede her term serving as Global Chair of EO’s Global Board of Directors next year (FY2026/2027).

Selected in a competitive process by her board peers during their June meeting, Taunya’s appointment was ratified by the full EO membership, which counts nearly 20,000 entrepreneurs among its global network of chapters and members in more than 90 countries worldwide. She will be the seventh woman to lead the global network of business owners that was first established in 1987 as a community by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs.

“I truly believe entrepreneurs have the power to shape a better future for their teams, their communities, and the world,” Taunya said. “Being entrusted with the role of Global Chair for FY2026/2027 is both humbling and energizing. I’m ready to co-create, challenge, and champion bold ideas with our member leaders and professional staff, so we can continue unlocking the full potential of founders and business owners everywhere — with heart, strategy, and impact at the core of everything we do.”

Taunya’s elevation to Global Chair comes after eight years of highly active membership and service to EO through its local, regional, and global communities. Taunya leaned into EO opportunities early, serving as communications chair and later as president of EO Belgium in FY2020/2021. Her journey along EO's Path of Leadership continued when she served as Europe Member Experience Director, then as Europe Regional Chair for two terms. Most recently, she joined EO’s Global Board and supported the newly formed Leadership Communications Advisory Council, advancing EO’s strategic vision for the future.

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Taunya relocated to Belgium in 2000, where she raised a family and built her business. In 2007, she launched Mach Media, A B2B marketing and communications agency serving global corporations across life sciences, chemicals, materials, and the agri-food industries.

With more than two decades of experience advising global leaders, Taunya has guided executive teams through complex transformations, designing strategic communication plans that fuel organizational change and unlock their potential. Her commitment to inclusive communication helps organizations build authentic, human-centered connections that strengthen trust and engagement.

Taunya joined EO in 2018. After experiencing the transformative power of participating in EO’s Forum program, she applied its practices to her own business. That sparked a shift at Mach Media from a founder-led model to a thriving, team-driven organization. Her journey, she notes, demonstrates the EO promise and embodies one of its four core values: Together We Grow. In 2025, she stepped up once again, serving as a judge for EO’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards, and is featured on the Start it UpYouTube series that chronicles the competition’s final stages.

“I’ve returned to EO year after year because of the depth of connection, the trust, and the transformative learning I experience through it,” Taunya said. “That learning is not just for me. It is also for the people I lead and grow with. I am committed to ensuring EO continues to be the most essential space for entrepreneurs and their key relationships to evolve, connect, and thrive together.”

Over the next year, Taunya will work closely with EO’s current Global Chair, Joaquín “Quini” Cordero, and EO’s Global Board of Directors to drive the organization’s 2030 Strategic Direction forward. That will include ongoing efforts to create even more value for EO members, and their families, and increase annual renewal rates to 95 percent by 2030.

“What a thrill to collaborate with Taunya over the coming year as we continue to execute EO’s strategic vision,” Joaquín said. “She has a wealth of experience and expertise that will lend itself well to this role and position EO to thrive for years to come.”

“EO’s global team of more than 150 professional staff look forward to partnering with Taunya,” said Jamie Pujara, EO Interim Executive Director. “Over the next two years, she will undoubtedly help us continue to do vital work that helps connect and empower entrepreneurs around the world.”

Along with Taunya’s election, EO’s Global Board welcomed its five newest Directors, who also come from membership. Beginning their four-year terms on 1 July are:

  • John D. Harrington(EO Oklahoma City)
  • Prabhakar Kadavasal(EO Chennai)
  • Anthony Ramirez(EO Chicago)
  • Jennifer Rello(EO Orange County)
  • Khuram Saleem(EO Lahore).

Paths to the Global Board begin at the chapter level, and then advance to regional and global opportunities within EO. The new Directors were selected from an applicant pool by the current Global Board and later ratified by EO members.
